Council representatives from Port Macquarie paid a visit to Hervey Bay in late July to investigate how Hervey Bay had gone about the development of the airport and attracted Jetstar to the town.
It seems that Port Macquarie is very interested in developing their runway and airport to allow bigger planes to fly into the town and the Council representatives came to Hervey Bay to see what they could learn from our experience.
