Do Feed the Dolphins
In a world where image is everything I watched the Queensland Minister for Silly Announcements on TV on Friday night as she looked straight into the camera and, with a savagery that reminded me of my ex-wife, announced that feeding the dolphins at Tin Can Bay was illegal and dangerous for the dolphis and would not be tolerated.
While she was saying that and condemning little children to a night of nightmares good old Peter If It’s Good For Queensland Beattie was bringing his usual level of common sense and sanity to the situation and coming up with a win/win solution that was going to keep the dolphis happy, the tourists happy and save Tin Can Bay from the fire and brimstone that the wicked witch of the near southwas about to call down on the hapless villages.
Really Minister - if it’s good enough for the dolphins in Western Australia what do you know that nobody else knows that makes it all wrong for dolphis in Queensland?
And do try and fix your television image - little kids should be able to watch the news without being scared out of their wits.
