The Second Worst Road in the State
A survey aimed at identifying the worst roads in Queensland has just been released and one of the roads around Hervey Bay has the dubious honour of being nominated as the second worst stretch of road in this state and it actually tops the list of local council roads.
The stretch in question is the road that runs out to River Heads and the Fraser Island boat ramp. It is described as rough, narrow, flood prone, poorly drained and steep.
Yep … that just about sums it up doesn’t it?
