Liberal and National Parties Preselection
Hervey Bay is poised to gain the attention of the people of Queensland as we come closer to the date set for the joint preselection of a Liberal Party/National Party candidate to contest the local seat.
Unfortunately the attempts by the conservative parties to kiss and make up seem to have stumbled at the first hurdle as squabbling over the preselection for the seat of Springwood broke out. The leader of the Nationals did little to calm things down when he had the opportunity and instead fired a broadside at his coalition partners.
Whether it can all be settled by the time the preselection ballots for Hervey Bay are held is yet to be seen.
