How Would You Explain This to Your Boss?

Typos abound on the Internet – everyone makes them but most people correct the. Unfortunately some do go unnoticed and some professional pride might be dented from time to time when someone who claims to be a writer makes those typos.

More than pride is on the line when a bank makes them and a bank in Japan recently made a whopper of a typo. No one noticed or checked when the bank put 610,000 shares on the market – after all the bank buys and sells shares every day of the week.

However, someone made a typo and this transaction saw the bank try to sell all those shares that were valued at $5,065 each, for just 1 yen each.

Fortunately the stock exchange queried the price and no sale actually took place.
