One of the Nice Things About Hervey Bay
… is finding people who moved here from the same place you did.
She Who Must Be Obeyed decided that I needed some R&R today so she dragged me out of the house and forced me to drive to Toogoom for a very pleasant lunch at Goody’s.
Sitting at the next table was a couple who have just moved to Hervey Bay from Hobart. It was great to see that we’re not the only ones from that miserably cold place who think that Hervey Bay is the only place to be.
If you haven’t tried Goody’s before then you really should do so. It’s a short drive from Hervey Bay on a good road. The food is good and dining right on the water’s edge is magic.
You should be prepared though - some regular guests have their preferred seats and are quite happy for you to shout them dinner.
