If You’re Driving this Easter …
… for God’s sake slow down!
Three people have died on the state’s roads over the Easter long weekend while 11 people have died on Queensland roads since the start of the Easter holiday period.
This morning we drove from Hervey Bay up to Bargara along the Bruce Highway as far as Childers. In that short stretch we saw drivers overtaking across double lines, drivers speeding, tailgating, and driving while they fiddled with something on the floor.
On the way back we got a repeat of everything we saw on the way up.
If you’re going to be out on the roads at any time over the remainder of the Easter Holidays please show some restraint and slow down. Hopefully if you’re driving you have a licence - but that only entitles you to drive a vehicle; not act like a bloody fool.
