Several local governments including the Hervey Bay Council have joined together to develop a regional strategy for sport, recreation and open space. Now the councils want to hear from you to see what you think about:

    Proposed routes for regional recreation trails

    Locations and standards for regional sports facilities

    Specifications and location of regional ‘green’ corridors’ for flora and fauna

    An implementation and action plan for the strategy.

The meeting in Hervey Bay will be held at the Hervey Bay Sports and Leisure Park, 187 Bideford Street on February 6. The meeting will commence at 6pm.

Skateboarders – love them or hate them are here to stay in Hervey Bay and they’re to be commended for confining their activities to the Hervey Bay Skate Park.

To encourage our skateboarders even further Hervey Bay City Council has arranged for Skate Australia to run a series of their Streetwise Skateboard Clinics here in the Bay on December 14, 15 and 16.
